Where is rukka made?
If you’re not familiar with Rukka, it’s a company in Finland, a place where motorcyclists have some weather to deal with (though this gear is manufactured in China). Rukka gear is not cheap, but it does tend to be high quality and the combination of the Thund-R pants and jacket live up to the reputation.
Yet, advances in technology mean textile motorcycle jackets have a lot to offer, being waterproof, abrasion-resistant and hardwearing.
Is Gore Tex good for motorcycle jacket?
Gore-Tex jackets offer a fantastic waterproof/windproof addition to your riding armoury. Because they’re so well made and reliable, they’re not cheap. However, they’re often lighter and more comfortable than leather, offering top safety and superior waterproofing.
What is warmer leather or textile?
A textile garment will also be what you need if you want to stay warmer. Staying warm on the bike is basically about insulating heat from the body. And textile garments will be better than leather in this respect because, once more, the sweat that this generates will be able to escape.

Machine wash the piece of clothing by following the wash instructions for that garment.
Line-dry the garment or tumble dry it on a gentle, warm cycle – not hot.
Once it is dry, tumble dry your garment on low for 20 minutes – the heat will reactivate the DWR.
Can GORE-TEX lose its waterproofness?
Waterproofing a Gore-Tex Jacket will eventually be required because despite the inner layer being a breathable waterproof membrane, the outer layer (shell) of the jacket will lose its waterproofing, soak up water and stay wet, blocking the effect of the Gore Tex.
Is GORE-TEX 100% waterproof?
While the Gore-Tex-Infinium membrane belongs to the water-repellent membranes, it is therefore not 100 % waterproof. But it is windproof and breathable and serves as insulation as well.
